Equal Protection
As Christians, we seek to glorify God above all else. We trust in Him completely to end abortion in this state, across the country, and around the world. Abortion is not merely a political issue, it’s a moral one. Abortion directly violates God’s Law in Exodus 20:13 “Thou shall not murder.” A criminal is subject to just judgment. God hates the hands that shed innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-19). In Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, God Himself promises judgement. We are to fear God and keep His commandments. We must give an account for every deed, even every thought- good and bad. Abortion is modern day idol worship. Exodus 20:3, You shall have no other gods (anything you put above God) before me. The claim that “you will have a better life if you sacrifice your child” is a lie that puts self comfort above God’s command.
Jesus Christ, God incarnate, came to earth and paid the penalty for the sin that we deserve (Romans 3:23-25). Women who seek abortions are not a victim of circumstance. They, like the rest of mankind, are sinners in need of God’s grace (Acts 17:30). He offers forgiveness, peace, and eternal life to all that repent and believe. …now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2, Luke 9:62). This is why we must end abortion without compromise. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation. Abortion is a heart issue and it is the message of the Good News that changes hearts.
Ezekiel 36:26, I will remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Isaiah 1:18, …though your sins are like scarlet; they shall be white as snow…
Regarding the Filing of V4TV Equal Protection IVF Lawsuit
Voice For The Voiceless has filed this action under the laws of the State of Utah out of a conviction that justice must be applied equally to all human beings. Human life begins at fertilization, and both the Word of God and the laws of this state recognize that reality. This case is not about changing the law, but about requiring its faithful enforcement—so that every human life receives equal protection without partiality.
Scripture teaches that life is not created by man, nor governed by his will, but is given by God according to His perfect wisdom and providence. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalm 127:3). In times of longing and trial, God does not call us to take matters into our own hands, but to trust Him: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). The desire for children is good, but it must be pursued in a way that honors Him. As Scripture warns, “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled” (Hebrews 13:4). Even in suffering, we are called to walk in obedience, trusting that God alone is the giver and sustainer of life.
We recognize that infertility is often a source of deep sorrow and longing. That burden should not be minimized. Yet there are medical approaches available today that seek to treat the underlying causes of infertility while honoring the sanctity of human life. Approaches such as restorative reproductive medicine (RRM) and NaPro Technology work with the body rather than replacing its natural function, and do so without creating or destroying human embryos. These methods aim to support conception in a way that is consistent with sound medical practice and the moral law of God, offering hope to families without requiring the loss of human life in the process.
Under Utah law, every human being is entitled to the equal protection of the laws, without regard to age, development, or dependency. As our complaint sets forth, unborn children are recognized as persons whose lives are entitled to legal protection from the moment of conception. The judicial system therefore bears the responsibility to uphold and faithfully apply these laws as written. When an entire class of human beings is denied that protection, justice is not being carried out in full. This Court is called not to create new law, but to enforce what already exists—ensuring that every human life receives equal protection without partiality.
We bring this action with a desire to walk in obedience to God and in faithfulness to His truth.
We do not claim righteousness in ourselves, but submit to the standard He has given. As it is written, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). It is in this spirit that we seek justice, trusting that justice, rightly applied, will uphold the equal value of every human life.
